About · The person behind the mic

Real talk starts with being real.

I’m Abdullah, and Reality with Abdullah is my attempt to have the conversations we usually keep to ourselves. Faith, doubt, life, and the messy bits in between, without the filter.

My story

How this
started.

This started the way most honest things do: quietly, and a little uncertainly. I kept having the same conversations late at night with friends: about faith, about doubt, about trying to be a decent person in a world that doesn’t make it easy. And I kept thinking, someone should just say this out loud.

So I did. No studio, no script, just a willingness to be real about what I believe and where I fall short. It turned out a lot of people were having the same conversations on their own, waiting for someone to start them.

Reality with Abdullah is that conversation, kept going. Podcasts, reminders, vlogs: different formats, same intention: faith you can actually live with, talked through honestly, with people who get it.

What I believe

The non-negotiables.

Everything here runs on a few simple commitments. They're the reason it stays real.

01

Sincerity over performance

The camera doesn't change the intention. If it isn't honest off-screen, it doesn't go on.

02

Honesty, even when it's uncomfortable

The real conversations are the ones we usually avoid. Those are the ones worth having.

03

Faith as a lived thing

Not a highlight reel. A daily, imperfect, ongoing attempt to do right by what I believe.

04

Community before clout

The people who show up matter more than the numbers. This is built with them, not at them.

إِنَّمَا الْأَعْمَالُ بِالنِّيَّاتِ

Actions are but by intentions, and every person will have only what they intended.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ · Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
The journey

Where it’s
been going.

No overnight anything. Just one honest step after another.

  1. Where it started

More questions than answers, a mic, and the feeling that someone needed to say the quiet parts out loud.

  2. Finding the voice

Learning that real talk lands harder than a perfect take, and leaning all the way into that.

  3. Building something shared

A growing room of people who came for the conversations and stayed for the community.

  4. What's next

More depth, more honesty, and the same intention: keep it real, keep it sincere.

Let’s connect

Come have the real conversation.

Watch, follow, or just reach out. Whether you’re here for the reminders, the discussions, or to work together, the door’s open.
